Lead Generation for CCTV Installers

Informed Leads for Installers Who Care About Quality

We're Building a Network of Great Installers

We're building a network of qualifed and trustworthy installers we can pass leads onto.

We are not looking for thousands of installers, but only a handful of high quality installers in each area, who always look after the customer.

We've Turned Lead Generation Around

We've heard the stories about the big brand tradie referral services. And our service was born out solving the problems that installers hated about those services.

This is how we differ:

  • No paying for useless leads
  • No checking a marketplace every day and bidding on endless jobs
  • No memberships
  • No lock-in contracts
  • No minimum spend
  • No credit systems
  • No commission of the total price payable to us

We Keep it Simple

  • We'll send you local leads. If you decline it within seven days, you won't be invoiced.
  • At the end of the month, we'll invoice for any accepted leads.

Thats it! No B.S, no gimmicks.

So there is absolutely no risk for installers.

Lead Qualification

The problem with CCTV shoppers is they don't know how to shop for camera systems. They often see wireless consumer-level camera kits like Ring and Arlo but don't understand these are prone to frequent issues.

We educate prospects about a good quality camera setup, what to expect from it, and a ballpark price. By the time they become a lead for you, they already know what they want.

We ask many more questions than the usual "Get a Quote" forms found on most installers' websites. This in-depth questionnaire does two things:

Filters out tire-kickers and leaves only the most serious buyers

Gathers enough information so you can provide an accurate quote

Only after they have completed all of our questions, and we have checked their details, will they become a qualified lead for you.

How It Works

Prospects Find Us

The prospect finds us via a search engine, paid advertising, or media coverage. They generally know very little about security cameras and are looking to learn more.

They Learn

Through our series of guides, the prospect learns about the essential aspects of security cameras, how many they may want and the different types available

They Fill Out Our Quote Form

The prospect fills our lengthy questionnaire to pre-qualify themselves. This form gathers details so installers can quote accurately, but also filter out potential tire kickers.

Lead is Sent Installers Info

We send the lead a list of the installers we have connected them with. This way, they know whom they can expect a call from.

The Leads Details are Sent

We find up to three installers in our network who are geographically closest to the lead. We send these installers the lead's contact details. An installer can reject a lead if it's not a good fit.

The Lead is Validated

We manually check all of the submitted details for completeness and accuracy by our staff. This process helps us ensure that the lead is a high-quality lead.

First Followup with Lead

After a week, we ask the prospect if any installers have contacted them. If they have chosen one, we ask who.

End-of-Month Invoice

At the end of the month, we invoice installers for any accepted leads

Second Followup with Lead

After two months, we ask the lead to review the installer they chose. This helps us build a positive profile for good installers and remove any installers who are consistently getting bad reviews.

Our Leads are Very Cost Effective

A single lead from Google Ads can cost up to $60 depending on the competitiveness of the area.
Leads from Google ads are usually unqualified because they haven't been educated on what makes a good system, and how much they can expect to pay for it.

ProtectFind leads educate themselves about security cameras through our easy-to-understand content and have self-qualified via the questions in our Quotes form.

Google and Facebook Ads charge you per click no matter what. So you are still paying for clicks even if the prospect wants something you don't offer, or just browsing.

With ProtectFind, you only pay once you have a completed form with what the prospect wants, what the install location is like, where they are, and their contact details.

This makes our leads far more cost effective than other lead sources.

What We Want from Installers

  • That you are qualified with your Cabler and Master Security License/Registration (or what is appropriate for your state)
  • That you contact the lead within 1–2 business days
  • That you install high-quality hardware. For example, not hardware originally destined for the Asian market with English firmware hacked on. Use surveillance-class hard drives, etc.

We want to build a great relationship with installers. It's about working together and helping eachother achieve our goals.

Who We Are

Bryce Whitty has been doing lead generation since 2006.

Initially from the IT field, he helped other computer business owners grow their client base.

Combining his passions in technology, photography, and security, surveillance cameras was the perfect fusion of those interests.

Bryce sought out to solve two problems:

  • Help people understand the ins and outs of security cameras
  • Help Installers acquire high-quality customers

This is why ProtectFind was created. Bryce Whitty and his team are ready to help.

Frequently Asked Questions

How will I receive the leads?

We will send you the leads via Email.

Can I cancel or pause from getting leads?

Yes, since there are no contracts, you can cancel anytime.

To pause, please contact us via email. Pausing keeps you in the network, but you won't be sent any leads.

What are good leads? What are poor leads?

We allow installers to reject leads they consider to be poor quality and not be billed for them.
We do everything we reasonably can to prevent poor quality leads being passed onto our installers, but it sometimes happens.
A poor lead is one that is very unlikely to turn into a paid job. For example, someone with the unrealistic expectation of wanting 8 wired cameras installed for only $200.
Installers can just let us know within 7 days and we'll void the lead, so it really is no risk for installers.

Can I get only a certain type of lead? (eg. commercial leads only)

When you sign up, you can specify what kind of leads you would like to accept. This can be just within a certain area, only single story properties, commercial only etc..
